Now that SIGGRAPH 2024 has come to a close, I am so proud to share my amazing experience as a Student Volunteer. This was my first year attending the conference and I am very lucky that SIGGRAPH came to my hometown of Denver for my senior year in the University of Colorado Denver Digital Animation Center program. I had an amazing time meeting new people and bonding over shared passions. Some highlights of my week included the Adobe Substance 3D Substance Days event, the Pixar Animation Studios Renderman Art and Science Fair, the Savannah College of Art and Design Connect party, and meeting my Women in Animation mentor, Areeba Rikhan, for the first time in person since my Spring 2024 mentorship.
I want to extend a special thank you to all my University of Colorado Denver SV friends for making my week super memorable. To Aelma Azad, Bianca Rawlings, Channing Han, Elias Dodd, Juliana Ramirez, Logan Schwartz, Maddy O'Connor, and Zoe Garcia, I can't wait to see where you all go in life and I look forward to working together again in the future. Having a group of friends who have all supported my creative and personal endeavors has been an invaluable experience I will cherish forever.
I also want to give a shoutout to the Student Volunteer Chairs, Subcommittee, Team Leaders, and all my fellow Student Volunteers. Thank you to ACM SIGGRAPH for hosting an event that is so supportive and welcoming of new faces in the industry. I look forward to attending SIGGRAPH for many years to come!
