February 16, 2024 - Alien Texture
I worked on commission for a handful of hours on the Alien texture for Bathroom Stall Galactica. After troubleshooting some UV layout issues and bake issues between the high and low poly models, I got the file into Substance and was able to give a basic texture to the model.
This is what the texture looks like when rendered in Unreal:
I'm going to go back in and add a bit more variation to the skin and try to brighten up the saturation of the skin so it doesn't look so washed out in the yellow-and-white lighting.
I also provided some feedback on the rigging of the mouth for the main character, the size and placement of the teeth/tongue, and the geometry modeling of the eyes regarding the irises and pupil geometry and making an eyeglass layer for reflections.
