On Friday afternoon during Production, our group set goals for the first production pass.
Production Pass #1 Goals (2/17/2023)
Deliverables:
Rendered MP4 video of basic animatic layout made in Maya with primary forms blocked out for set pieces and main character.
Concept art in the final style (similar to how it will look textured/rendered) for main character and all important objects/set pieces.
Also decided on who was interested in serving what specialized roles for the team. This is not comprehensive of what everyone will end up doing in actuality. Everyone will have a hand in everything. This was just expressing interest in who wants to do certain tasks more than others.
On Wednesday evening we had a two hour zoom meeting and reviewed art direction and made sure that everyone felt good about the direction that the character designs were going so that we could feel confident in moving towards making character models.
